چکیده
Background: For spinal anesthesia, levobupivacaine is considered an effective alternative anaesthetic agent to conventional bupivacaineowing the faster recovery profile and lower probability of cardiovascular toxicity.Aim: To comparatively assess analgesic hemodynamic features dose hyperbaric bupivacaine isobariclevobupivacaine used for infra umbilical surgeries. Methods: The present clinical study included 120 subjects from ASA I II categories presented elective umbilicalsurgeries were randomly divided into 2 groups 60 each. Group, was given 0.5% atthe 3ml, Group isobaric at 3ml. Hemodynamic parameters including SpO2,NIBP, heart rates assessed every 15 minutes till hours postoperative. Side effects nausea vomiting, bradycardia, hypotension also evaluated. Results: Sensory block onset slower in group sensory levels comparable. levobupivacaine, analgesia duration significantly lower. With levobupivacaine, shorter motor blockade onsetwere seen. Complete seen all subjects. Concerning parameters, lesser incidence bradycardiaand high stability. No PDPH, shivering, nausea, or vomiting any subject. Conclusion: concludes that similar concerning analgesia are with Bupivacaine aswith levobupivacaine. However, showed better stability making Levobupivacaine use successful lowerabdominal surgeries.

Comparative study of caudal clonidine and midazolam added to bupivacaine during infra-umbilical surgeries in children
BACKGROUND AND AIMS Caudal analgesia is a good, reliable, and easy method to provide intraoperative and postoperative analgesia for infra-umbilical surgeries in children. Many additives are being used in combination with local anesthetics in caudal block to prolong the postoperative analgesia (clonidine, midazolam, ketamine, fentanyl, and dexmedetomidine). The purpose of this study was to compa...
متن کاملClinical Characteristics of Spinal Levobupivacaine: Hyperbaric Compared with Isobaric Solution
We performed a prospective, double-blinded study in 20 patients undergoing gynecologic surgery with lower abdominal incision, to investigate characteristics of intrathecal hyperbaric levobupivacaine compared with isobaric levobupivacaine. We randomly assigned them to receive 3 mL of either isobaric or hyperbaric 0.42% levobupivacaine intrathecally. We found that hyperbaric levobupivacaine, comp...
متن کاملHemodynamic impact of isobaric levobupivacaine versus hyperbaric bupivacaine for subarachnoid anesthesia in patients aged 65 and older undergoing hip surgery
BACKGROUND The altered hemodynamics, and therefore the arterial hypotension is the most prevalent adverse effect after subarachnoid anesthesia. The objective of the study was to determine the exact role of local anesthetic selection underlying spinal anesthesia-induced hypotension in the elderly patient. We conducted a descriptive, observational pilot study to assess the hemodynamic impact of s...
متن کامل[Low dose isobaric, hyperbaric, or hypobaric bupivacaine for unilateral spinal anesthesia.].
BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES Unilateral spinal anesthesia has its advantages, especially in patients undergoing outpatient basis surgeries. Low dose, slow speed of administration, and the lateral positioning make easier the unilateral distribution in spinal anesthesia. Isobaric, hyperbaric, and hypobaric solutions of bupivacaine were compared in the unilateral spinal anesthesia in patients undergo...
متن کاملComparison of hemodynamic effects of hyperbaric and isobaric bupivacaine in spinal anesthesia.
INTRODUCTION Spinal anesthesia presents reversible interruption of nerve transmission within subarachniod space produced by injection of local anesthetic in cerebrospinal fluid. At the same time it comes to the blockade of particular functions of the nerve transmission. At the focus of this work is the blockade of sympathetic fibres which significantly affect on the behavior of the hemodynamic ...
